Painting in the Kawarthas with Wilson Street Art Retreats

I keep reinventing the wheel trying to figure out better ways to transport oil paintings while on canoe trips. This last invention worked very nicely. There is something to be said being away from technology and out in the woods.
The line of showers and thunderstorms had passed Buzzard Lake allowing the sunset to illuminate the eastern shore opposite camp site 423. The lighting is magic for just a short time period and I wanted to illustrate capturing those colours in plein air. The camera cannot do justice to the brilliance and intensity of these very transient colours. This is number 1424 on a 5x7 inch panel.
One should always take a meteorologist on any trip to keep you safe from the weather...
